VBS 2020: The Way of Love
Though we can’t meet together in person for VBS this year, several of our regular Vacation Bible School leaders have come together to create some things you can do at home this summer, whenever you want. Instead of just one week, VBS will last all summer! These are fun crafts, games, dance, stories, songs, and more to DO at home for all ages and abilities.
All this is centered on The Way of Love, which is a way of living to follow Jesus. This is something that Christians of ALL ages and beliefs can join together to do to make their lives and other's better. It's like a guide to help us live life like Jesus taught.
Get started: contact Catherine Drewry to let her know that you want to participate. Once she has confirmed your request, you can pick up your starter kit from the church patio anytime next week, starting Saturday morning, June 20. There is one bag for each participating household, in big coolers on the patio between the buildings so you can just pick yours up. (We can deliver or mail if you can't pick up.) Watch the mail for additional packets coming to you in subsequent weeks.
To learn more about The Way of Love, watch this video from the national Episcopal church.
You can choose how much or how little you want to do. Some weeks you might do everything, others a little, and some none. That's fine. We'll post new short videos to get you started with some of the activities on the church YouTube channel each week. Next week, you can learn a fun way to make a sandwich with Jenifer Marquardt, have a fun dance/ game time with Alice Mohor, hear Kathryn Musholt read a Bible story, and sing with Diane Barret and Catherine Drewry.
VBS Zoom Party! On Mondays at 6:30, starting June 22, we will have a Zoom party for everyone who registers to share and visit. Catherine will email you the password for the party when you sign up to participate in VBS. No pressure, just fun times together, following The Way of Love!
